Jim and I really enjoyed the sake tasting at Gekkeikan. Their tasting room, elegantly modern, looks out over a beautifull Japanese garden, complete with a tori gate, koi pond, and waterfall. A peaceful oasis in the middle of a light industrial area of Folsom, California. One google reveiwer said it best:

On Saturday, Ken Yee will first pour Zipang, a sparkling sake. Pair this light and refreshing brew with a lemon chiffon bite from Snooks Candies on Sutter Street. Take a sip. Take a bite. Take another sip. Just right!

Next, he will pour the Black &  Gold, a complex sake that pairs with traditional Japanese rice crackers, sweet with a touch of spice, the perfect compliment to this award winning brew.
